"doodles like a lovesick middle-schooler" 

on our paper boxers for their 1st (paper) anniversary.

We really love her idea 

and are very happy with how it turned out.

Smile, Drama, and Sisters by Raina Telgemeier

We had not heard of these books until

three teachers order matching Library Due Date Card T-shirts

to wear to school, each with one of the three titles:

Smile, Drama, and Sisters.

The graphic novels by Raina Telgemeier 

are based on her childhood and written with middle school kids in mind,

 but we found them to be a lot of fun, too!

- "Smile" -

"Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly."

for a party she was hosting. What a neat idea! 

It would be so cool to be invited to a party with library card goody bags...

Anyway, the goody bags turned out just adorable 

so we decided to carry them in our shop.
